The Miracle League of Pensacola’s big upgrade finally has been unveiled.

Thanks to a $104,500 grant from nonprofit groupIMPACT 100, Miracle League opened its third baseball field for players with disabilities last week.

“We are the only league worldwide that has three baseball fields for adult and children with disabilities,” said Shirley Godwin, member of the Miracle League board of directors. “We’re so excited. It is a big undertaking, and the goal is not necessarily to have more fields but to have more players.”
